Electric Guitars Home > Used Electric Guitars Check out used electric guitars on the web and save. There is nothing wrong with buying used electric guitars. Many people get frustrated and give up on their lessons much to soon, so it is possible to find some excellent second-hand guitars that have hardly been used. A second hand guitar, if it has been taken care of, will serve you just as well as a new model. Used electric guitars are a little cheaper than new ones. However if the guitar is nearly new it might not be a bad idea to invest in a new one. This is particularly true if there is not much difference in the price. A new guitar is a nice thing to have if you are a serious musician but a used model is great for beginners or even intermediate players who might not want to spend a lot of money on a guitar. All makes and models of electric guitar can be found second-hand. Used electric guitars Examine the guitar. Make sure it is not warped, buckled or water-damaged and that the materials of the guitar are in good working order - no rust, broken strings or any other damage that can be seen with the naked eye. Used electric guitars are sometimes of inferior quality. If you want a second opinion, take it to an expert and have them evaluate the condition of the guitar. They might also be able to tell you what similar models go for on the market. Do some research in this regard before handing over your money. Find out what similar or the same model sells for generally. This way you won't get ripped off by a private individual selling a guitar for more than it's worth. Make sure that if you do buy used electric guitars that they are worth the money being asked. Finally a word or two about buying used electric guitars over the Internet. It is a very risky idea to buy any musical instrument that you have not seen. Before you hand over your credit card details make sure that the company has a return policy. If there is no guarantee that you can return it if you are not satisfied you may be stuck with an inferior guitar. I have been singing the praises of Dan Denleys guitar courses - AmazingGuitar, BluesGuitar, LeadGuitar and AcousticGuitar for some time now. The link to the Acoustic course has been displaying "Sold Out" for some weeks now, but it is being relaunched tomorrow, Fri 14th March at 11 a.m. Eastern time. To celebrate the relaunch, Dan has given me a POWERFUL, 14 minute free video lesson crammed with incredible info about guitar CHORDS to share with my Blog readers. In this video you'll discover: -> How chords are related to scales... -> Why some chords are maj, minor, dom, etc. -> What guitarists mean when they say... "two chord" or "five chord" etc. -> Which chords come from the major scale -> The difference between a triad and a 7th chord... ...and a LOT more. You can watch it here right now: 14 Minute Guitar Chords Lesson - From Dan Denley's AcousticGuitarSecrets course This video shows extracts of Dan's Acoustic Guitar Secrets course, which is fast becoming THE standard for learning acoustic guitar. The course completely sold out when it was released back in December, hence the unavailable message you will have seen if you clicked the link recently. Now, *finally* it's going to be available again, remember it's tomorrow: Fri, Mar 14 at 11AM (eastern). Oh - and you can also download this video and watch on your iPod. Just look for the "iPod" link. I own a copy of this course, and it has done more to improve my guitar playing than anything I've tried in the past 20 years. Seriously. I would strongly advise anyone who REALLY wants to be a "Guitar Player" to grab a copy of the course, you won't regret it. But get in early, I have a feeling that the "Sold Out" signs will be back up fairly soon, also Dan is making noises about splitting the course into 3 seperate courses, which will almost certainly increase the cost. Either ways, you can enjoy the free 14-minute video lesson at: 14 Minute Guitar Chords Lesson - From Dan Denley's AcousticGuitarSecrets course More song chords from me very soon!! Enjoy your music! My very good friend Chris Elmore, who you will know from the great guitar 'mini-lessons' he provides for my blog and for my monthly newsletter, is holding a contest with a superb Dave Mustaine guitar as the main prize. You can actually check out the guitar at this link: http://www.guitartrader.com/Dean-Dave-Mustaine-Bolt-on-Electric-Guitar Ok, so to win this guitar, or one of the other contest prizes, Chris wants you to submit a YouTube video of yourself performing on guitar. He explains it fully in this short video clip: How to win the Dave Mustaine Guitar Take a look at the video clip ( about 2 mins ) - if you think you have what it takes to impress Chris, just follow the instructions on the page, and you're on your way to bringing home an awesome guitar. Please don't be shy about this - I know Chris is not necessarily looking for someone who can replicate an existing guitar riff. If you think there is anything special you can do, this is your chance to show off your talent, and maybe bag a big prize in the process. The link to enter the contest again is: How to win the Dave Mustaine Guitar Regular subscribers will know that Chris is absolutely the most genuine guy in the guitar learning world. As well as regularly providing great free guitar tips for my guitar newsletter readers, he sponsored some amazing prizes for my 5 million and 10 million visitor celebrations. This contest is to celebrate the release of his latest learning program - 'Rock Methods', and runners-up in the contest will receive copies of this course. I haven't had sight of this course yet ( it won't be launched for a while ) but I know that it will be up to the standard of excellence of all of the Elmore Music learning tools. I would encourage you to take part in this contest, show the world what you can do, and hopefully, bring home that fabulous guitar! Meanwhile, I will be adding some songs to my chords and lyrics website which will hopefully meet your requirements. Enjoy your music, PJ Enjoy your music! P.J.
